Why is the displayed IPx larger than expected?
The effective intermodulation of a system can be greater than expected due to filtering (See Effective Intermodulation for more information).
Why is the total NF greater than expected?
If a system contains intermediate filters but is
- not terminated in a final filter and the probe is not bandlimited, or
- terminated in a filter whose bandwidth is wider than the intermediate filters,
then the overall NF will likely be greater than expected. Please see Bandwidth Considerations for more information.
