Menu

The menu provides access to all SysCalc features. To access a particular menu item, click the item with the left mouse button and then select an item from the popup menu. The menu selections are described below:

File

New — Creates a new project containing a single system page.

Open — Opens the File Open dialog box from which you can load an existing SysCalc project.

Close — Closes the currently selected project.

Save — Saves the active project using the current name. If the project is untitled, you will be prompted to supply a file name.

Save As — Opens the File Save As dialog box. The dialog box provides you the opportunity to save the active project using a different file name.

Print — Invokes the Print dialog box.

Print Setup — Click to show the printer setup dialog box. The dialog allows you to specify paper size, orientation, etc.

Send Project — Sends the active project as an email attachment.

Exit — Exits SysCalc.

Edit

Properties — Invokes the main Properties dialog box.

Probe Settings — Invokes the Probe Settings dialog box. 

Cut

Component — cuts (removes) the currently selected component from the System page to an internal program buffer.

System Page — cuts (removes) the currently selected System page to an internal program buffer.

Copy

Component — copies the currently selected component from the System page to an internal program buffer.

System Page — copies the currently selected System page to an internal program buffer.

Paste

Component — copies the component or system page residing in the internal program buffer to the currently selected System page or project respectively.

Delete Component — deletes the currently selected component.

Delete System Page — deletes the currently selected System page.

Delete Report — deletes the currently selected Report.

Link Component to System — invokes the Link Page dialog box for linking the current component to another System page.

Unlink Component — removes the link (if any) between the currently selected component and a System page.

Move Source to Current component — Moves the Source to the currently selected component.

Move Probe to Current component — Moves the Probe to the currently selected component.

Copy to Clipboard

System — copies the currently selected System page to the Windows clipboard.

Report — copies the currently selected Report to the Windows clipboard.

System & Report — copies the currently selected System page and Report to the Windows clipboard.

Insert

Page — inserts a new System page into the currently selected project.

Component

Gain — inserts a gain component at the end of the currently selected System page.

Mixer — inserts a mixer component at the end of the currently selected System page.

Filter — inserts a filter component at the end of the currently selected System page.

Attenuator — inserts an attenuator component at the end of the currently selected System page.

Generic — inserts a generic component at the end of the currently selected System page.

AGC — inserts an AGC loop at the end of the currently selected System page.

Add AGC Control — adds an additional AGC control to the currently selected detector.

Noise Summer — inserts a noise summer at the end of the currently selected System page.

Add AGC Control — adds a control component to an existing detector.

Create Detector — creates a detector for the currently selected AGC control.

Report

Standard — attaches a Standard report to the currently selected System page.

Linearity — attaches a Linearity report to the currently selected System page.

Link Budget — attaches a Link Budget report to the currently selected System page.

Yield — attaches a Yield report to the currently selected System page.

Graph — attaches a Graph report to the currently selected System page.

LO Phase Noise — attaches a LO Phase Noise report to the currently selected System page.

Spurious — attaches a Spurious report to the currently selected System page.

View

Status Bar — displays/hides the status bar at the bottom of the program.

Standard Toolbar — displays/hides the Standard Toolbar.

Component Toolbar — displays/hides the Component Toolbar.

Tools

AutoCalc — automatically recalculates the system after parameter changes.

Window

Cascade — cascades the currently open projects with SysCalc’s workspace.

Tile — tiles the currently open projects with SysCalc’s workspace.

Help

Help Topics — displays the Help Index dialog.

Tutorial — displays the Tutorial Help topic.

About SysCalc... — displays SysCalc’s About dialog. The program version is indicated in the dialog.
