Linking System Pages

SysCalc uses a tabbed-notebook metaphor to organize components into logically independent system pages. The pages are then linked with components to form the complete cascaded system. The linking process allows a single component to represent another entire page. When a component is linked to a page, the component parameters are no longer directly editable since they are derived from the page to which it is linked. The parameters displayed under a linking component are actually the results of the linked page.

To link a component to a page

Right-mouse click a component and choose Link Component to System from the popup menu. The Link Page dialog box will appear and present you with a list of available systems to which the component may be linked. Select a system page in the list box and then click the Link button. A linking component will have a link icon shown next to it and the linking page name under it.

To unlink a component from a page

Right-mouse click the linking component and choose Unlink System from the menu.
